ISSUE NO. 2
NEW DEPUTY MINISTRY OF MAGIC APPOINTED
EX-HIT WIZARD TO HELP LEAD WIZARDING LONDON
After only a few months as Minister of Magic, it seems that strong differences Gregory James has caused the Deputy Minister of Magic to finally resign from their spot. While it seems to be something they did on their own, there’s a lot of speculation around the whole situation as some people believe that the resignation didn’t happen as willingly as it’s look and in fact it’s the Minister himself pushing the Deputy out in a power play. Either way, it seems the spot for Deputy Minister of Magic didn’t stay open for very long as none other than ex-hit wizard Ashton Mcallister has been promoted to the spot. Our sources tell us that Mcalister was specifically sought out for the position by the Minister.
While Mcalister will be leaving Hogwarts to play the sidekick to Mr. James, it seems that the infamous Brynlee Silversmit will be leaving her position of head healer at St. Mungo’s to return back to the school of magic to take her old position of Deputy Headmistress back. Though Ms. Silversmit had seemed to leave Hogwarts on unhappy terms when she originally resigned, she’s apparently put it behind her and only time will tell how things will play out.
Lastly, it looks like the Aurors had a friend in a low place over the weekend. Reports have flooded in that nearly a dozen bodies of known criminals have been found. While this could be the work of a rogue hit wizard, it's assumed that this was a deliberate attack considering the state they were found in. The lacerations found among other wounds do not seem to be the work of a ministry official. Aurors are investigating the scene and looking for any evidence however they've been falling just short of figuring out who did this or why it even happened. Banding together, the families of these victims have come forth to identify them and are demanding justice for their loved ones.
