Life's No Fun Without A Good Scare (sexual Themes), For the ginger haired thief
Jun 14 2017, 11:37 PM

It had only been a few days since Benji’s run in with the ginger thief and her little niffler sidekick at Somnia yet she was someone who seemed to have taken up residence in his mind and showed no signs of moving out anytime soon. Thankfully neither his record or turntable suffered any sort of damage which felt like a miracle in itself considering the fact that Drogo took it upon himself to run around his turntable like it was his own personal treadmill. As expected, he had gotten quite the earful from the manager of the place and lost a fair bit of his pay that night for “damages” and loss of business. Honestly, he was lucky the manager was even allowing him to come back and he knew that.

The man had been pretty pumped for his gig tonight, however, that feeling quickly faded when he went to put his necklace on only to be reminded that he no longer had it. It had taken in a full twenty-four hours after his run in with the woman before he realized that she had taken off with it, or most likely, her pet had since it was the one that lunged at him trying to get it in the first place. Normally he would have merely been a little annoyed and gone out and maybe got himself a replacement, but it was a gift his foster parents had given him for graduating Hogwarts.

Thankfully his set went on without any sort of hitches this time around which had been for his best interest anyways. The last thing he needed was to lose out on his most recurring gig as it would have meant a large loss of income as well as scouring around for a place willing to let him and his partner play more than just once. ”I’ll see you tomorrow!” he called out to his partner before the two of them went their separate ways. He knew Quinn was likely to head straight home which was what Benji probably should have done, but he was hungry and already knew there wasn’t much at his place in the way of food.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, he quietly made his way down the familiar cobblestone path towards the one place he knew made some of the best food for a decent price. It was the same pub he went to most nights when he needed a bite to eat after a show which meant it had a familiar and safe feeling for being on the bad side of town. This time however, he couldn’t help but feel as if he was being followed and it made him anxious. I’m probably just imagining it. he thought to himself. The brunette had walked the same exact path at late hours before and had never had any problems.

”Almost there.” he whispered to himself as the old pub came into view. His heart was starting to race as he felt more and more like he was being followed but wasn’t willing to look behind him to see who exactly was tailing him. What if it was someone wanting to mug him? With that, he picked up his pace and eagerly entered the pub before quickly shutting the door behind him. He heard the raspy voice of the night manager ask if he was okay, but all he could do was nod his head yes and take a seat at an empty table towards the side of the room and looked at a menu.

To say that Gina was more than a little miffed was an understatement. The frenchwoman had spent quite some time planning an elaborate scheme only for the night to go horribly wrong. Luckily her apparation skills were a lot better than how she handled people. Drogo on the other hand couldn’t do either and ended up in the crossfire happening to slide across the floor of the long corridor only to slam into a table leg. From what she could tell he’d only sprained a leg though and she’d tucked him away bandaged for the night along with a nice sleeping draught to help calm him down. Had she not gotten out of that place in time, who knows what would have happened.

Of course, that night she had something else on her agenda that she’d been meaning to do. After the horrible night at Somnia that only lead to an even bigger let down, La Roux had quickly realized that Drogo had taken that poor man’s necklace. Well, he skipped out on dinner and left her hanging so she wasn’t exactly sympathetic towards him but for some reason she had a strong urge to find him and return the damn thing; if anything to not be stuck with a reminder of that incident.

That’s why Aubergine had found herself right back where she started and in the middle of the nightclub crowd just waiting for the moment that the DJ had decided to step off stage and head out. She didn’t want to chance ruining his set again and though Drogo was incapacitated at the moment it didn’t mean the little bugger wouldn’t awake at some point and cause havoc. So, when the man did finally leave his booth and exit the building, it was easy enough for her to tail him quietly.

It felt odd really but the only reason why she was doing it in the first place was to return his belongings. After that she’d convinced herself that she would leave and not say anything else to the man. A part of her was slightly hurt that he’d taken off the way he had. It wasn’t often that she found herself in the company of others which was probably reason enough for her odd behavior, but he’d been on her mind a lot since that night and it drove her absolutely insane. All things considered he was the last person that she wanted to see at the moment.

That didn’t exactly stop her from following him as he neared a pub, though his behavior was a little off. It was almost as if he’d sensed her presence and was nervous as the man rushed into the building and shut the door behind him. Running a hand through her hair she stood there for a moment and contemplated whether or not it was even worth entering. Taking a deep breath, the frenchwoman clicked her tongue and pushed forth venturing into the little pub before taking a seat next to him within.

”Before you even say anything I just wanted to give you this.” She said shakily as her hand reached into her pocket and she pulled out the delicate chain before setting it down in front of him. ”My apologies for what happened.” The woman said lowly before she looked away embarrassed. To be honest, she wasn’t even sure why she cared in the first place but she did.

As his brown eyes scanned over the menu and tried to decide on what he wanted to eat, he was just about to get up and order himself a drink when he heard someone walk up to him and start to talk. ”Before you even say anything I just wanted to give you this.” he heard as his head jerked upwards only for his eyes to land on the one woman he didn’t think he’d ever see again. ”Hey, gingerbread! So it was you who took off with my necklace after all.” he beamed. It might have seemed odd that a smile was plastered on his face, but he was honestly way more happy to get the piece of jewellery back than he wanted to say.

Benji reached out and grabbed the chain from her hand and quickly placed it safely around his neck where it belonged. It was probably a little weird, but the fact that he had it back in the first place relieved a lot of the anxiety that had been building up inside him. He wasn’t superstitious enough to believe in different items being things that could bring him luck, but his necklace was something that he rarely went anywhere without and was his most prized possession. ”It’s fine. No harm done other than possibly losing a little bit of my dignity over the music mishap, but I’ll recover.” he replied when he heard her apologize.

Even if the man had actually been mad at her before, it wouldn’t have lasted long. Benji was never someone that held grudges and was usually pretty quick to get over things so long as it wasn’t something really serious. Plus, how could he stay annoyed at someone that had obviously gone out of their way to return an item they had taken? She certainly wasn’t the normal type of criminal. ”Next time you decide to track someone down to return something though, maybe you shouldn’t be so creepy about it. I seriously thought someone was going to mug me or attack me.” he offered up a suggestion with a playful grin.

Though he wasn’t upset with her in any form, he suddenly remembered how he had accused her of trying to poison him before walking out on the woman. ”I guess if anyone is going to apologize it should be me. I didn’t seriously think you were trying to poison me, I just...really fancy things aren’t really my scene. I tend to stick out like a sore thumb at places like that because I just don’t belong there.” he tried to explain with a slight cringe. For some reason expensive places always made the man feel uncomfortable because all he could think about was messing up and accidentally doing or saying something stupid that would only make the rich people around him judge harder than they already did.

”If you’re up for it, you can always sit down and join me for some food. I know it’s just a pub and not nearly as nice as that french place you took me, but the food is pretty damn good. I don’t have much, but enough to pay for you as well if you like.” he offered her. ”Though I think it’s about time I at least know what your name is. I’m Benjamin but I normally just go by Benji.” he smiled at her as he waited to see if she was going to take him up on his offer or not.

The woman supposed there was a first time for everything and this happened to be the first time that anyone had ever called her gingerbread of all things. She was half-tempted to rectify that by retorting with the moniker, fuckface. Having manners though, the woman at least tried to hold her tongue. That came easily enough as he continued on about how he didn’t much feel like he fit in with the ‘fancy’ crowd. ”You know, for someone who’s at least slightly cute you certainly have a way of selling yourself short. Who gives a rat’s ass about those dingbats anyway? I just like the food there.” She offered in hopes to at least make up for the way she was feeling right about now.

The woman was drained from a terrible night, she was embarrassed and worst of all sitting with some random guy she barely even knew. Why she even cared in the first place to return his shit was beyond her. The cutpurse was prone to throwing things out that she didn’t want and his necklace most definitely wasn’t what she had been looking for that night.

”If you’re up for it, you can always sit down and join me for some food. I know it’s just a pub and not nearly as nice as that french place you took me, but the food is pretty damn good. I don’t have much, but enough to pay for you as well if you like.” The man suggested but a part of her felt as if he only offered because she showed up uninvited and felt bad. ”Though I think it’s about time I at least know what your name is. I’m Benjamin but I normally just go by Benji.” Her brows quirked upwards before she folded her hands together and cocked her head to the side.

”My name is Aubergine,” the woman replied realizing just how thick her accent came off when the name rolled off her tongue. ”I prefer Gina.” Clearing her throat, the redhead looked to the side before looking back towards the man. ”You don’t have to pretend you actually want me here so I’ll leave you to it. Have a nice night Benji.” she said before straightening out her jacket and standing up from the table.

”For the record, poisson is French for fish and their food is killer… just not in the way you thought.” The woman added as she tucked her hands in her pocket and began to make her way out. Something about the tone of her voice as she spoke threw even her off as she realized just how much of a downer she sounded. Something about actually seeing him in person again riled up some kind of feeling but she couldn’t quite put her finger to it. The redhead, however, knew when she overstayed her welcome and considering the crap she had put him through she was sure that he was just trying to be nice.

”You know, for someone who’s at least slightly cute you certainly have a way of selling yourself short. Who gives a rat’s ass about those dingbats anyway? I just like the food there.” one of his brows raised up as he shot her a questioning look. Did she just compliment and scold him within the same sentence? At least she thinks I’m kind of cute though? he mentally asked himself. The man was used to getting compliments about his music or even having the common “you’re so nice!” thrown at him, but it was the first time anyone had ever actually complimented him on how he looked and in a way, it made him become more aware of how messy he probably looked at the moment.

Unsure of how to react to being called slightly cute, he decided to offer her a meal instead as a way to make up for the fact he had walked out on her a few nights ago. He couldn’t offer the woman much since he already lived pretty much paycheck to paycheck, but the least he could do was give her a good meal since they were meant to get dinner together in the first place anyways. It was then that he also finally offered up his name as well in hopes that he could get hers in return so that he had something to actually call her rather than gingerbread since that was likely to get old really fast, though he could have switched to gingersnaps instead since she seemed to have a fiery personality. :F

”I prefer Gina.” he heard her state after announcing that her name was Aubergine. It was definitely a unique name and not one he had heard before, but that made it pretty much perfect for her since she was so different than anyone he was used to dealing with. Having a common name didn’t seem like it would fit her that well. To his dismay, she merely told him that he didn’t need to pretend to want her there before adding on, ”For the record, poisson is French for fish and their food is killer… just not in the way you thought.” and heading for the door.

He could have easily just left it at that and allowed her to make her leave, but for some reason he brain decided he didn’t want to allow her to leave on a note like that. ”Well, pub is English for really good food and beer and the food here is pretty killer as well when you give it a try,” he called after her as he stood up from his chair and quickly made his way over to her. ”But if you’d prefer some poisson to eat then I can arrange for that as well.” he whispered in her ear before softly grabbing her arm and carefully escorting her back to the table.

”I know the chef so I’m sure he’d be willing to cook you up some if you’d like.” he offered her as he pulled his wand out and charmed the candle on the table to light up and change colors. He didn’t have to use spell work that often, but he still had some nifty little tricks up his sleeve such as that. “So, where you from? I noticed you have an accent. Kinda adorable if you ask me. I wonder what my voice sounds like to other people.” he wondered out loud. He had never thought about it before now. What if his voice was actually annoying? ”Also, I’m calling you Gigi because you need a name that only I can call you.” he beamed at the woman.

The Frenchwoman was frozen to the spot the moment she heard him speak up and even more so as he whispered into her ear. A tickle ran up her spine and caused her to involuntarily shudder the moment he touched her. The last thing that she expected was for him to usher her back towards the table after everything. Gina was most certainly used to just being brushed off or disliked. While she could be charming if she really wanted, it was her blunt way about speaking to others that usually pushed them away but it seemed like that had the opposite effect on him which only confused her.

”I know the chef so I’m sure he’d be willing to cook you up some if you’d like.” Benji stated as he began to light the candle before them with his wand. It took a moment for her to realize that the flame was changing colors but once it had, he’d captured her full attention as she skeptically peered up towards his face. She’d seemingly lost the ability to even speak up as she began to wonder just what in the world was happening. ”So, where you from? I noticed you have an accent. Kinda adorable if you ask me. I wonder what my voice sounds like to other people.” Looking back down at the flame for a moment, the woman hesitated to say much of anything. It was the first time in quite a while where she felt at a loss for words.

”Also, I’m calling you Gigi because you need a name that only I can call you.” With those words leaving his lips, she finally broke and glanced towards him. ”I’m French, which I thought was at least fairly common around these parts.” She smiled back with a slight chuckle but looked away shyly before adding, ”I’d say you sound far too sweet. Are you sure you aren’t made of sugar or something?” A light blush spread across her cheeks and the woman barely knew what else to really say.

It was like they did a complete one-eighty. One moment she was the ever hated thief and the next he was telling her that her accent was adorable. The Frenchwoman couldn’t quite pinpoint the last time anyone had confused her as much as this. She was a quick study back when she was in school and had learned over time how to read people but it was like she’d run into a brick wall with him. Just as she thought it couldn’t get any more awkward than it already had, the woman watched as he leaned forward ever so slightly.

”You okay?” For a moment, all she could do was meet his gaze until she noticed his eyes seemingly trailing elsewhere causing her heart to begin racing. Her hand slipped into her pocket just as his lips moved forward and made contact, delicate fingers gripping lightly around her wand. Within a split second her eyes fluttered shut before she was sucked in by the apparation spell leading her back to her flat. When the woman opened her eyes though, she saw that somehow she’d managed to drag him along with her and there they were in the middle of the long hall leading to the living quarter.

Beautifully polished floors glistened around them and the warm light against the pale tanned walls illuminated the area just slightly as she stood there gaping. Gina hadn’t intended whatsoever to bring him along with her and if she’d been at a loss for words before, the silence that took over her now was tenfold. How exactly was she supposed to explain this?

Compared to the last time the two of them had a run in, the ginger haired girl seemed to suddenly be a lot more shy and he was confused as to why. She seemed to have no problem serving him sass last time, so what had changed? It was interesting to witness this new side of her though he had a feeling that it wasn’t one that really came out all that often. Maybe it’s something I did. he thought to himself. He had only been trying to be nice to her and make things up to her, but maybe he had put her on the spot and made her uncomfortable? She probably wasn’t used to being invited to dinner by the people she stole from.

”I’m French, which I thought was at least fairly common around these parts.” he heard her reply to his previous question. The man might see hundreds of different people at each gig he plays, but between the music and people talking, he never really took note of anyone’s accents so he was pretty oblivious when it came to things such as french people apparently being pretty common around these areas. ”I’ve never met one before now so I wouldn’t know,” he said with a breathy laugh, however, he was taken by surprise when he heard her ask if he was made of sugar due to sounding so sweet. That was a first for him, but at least he knew he didn’t sound annoying.

Benji noticed a light blush starting to spread across her cheeks and couldn’t help but smile a little at it. ”You okay?” he asked her as he scanned her for any sign of something being wrong. For all he knew, he could have been making things awkward since she might not even want anything to do with him, but he’d not know since he didn’t have a lot of one on one time with people let alone girls. He stared into her eyes and noted that while under dim lighting they looked nearly black, they were in fact a dark blue.

For being someone who steals things from other people, she seemed a lot more innocent in nature than he would have figured. It was refreshing in a way and was nice to know that even if she was technically a criminal, she wasn’t necessarily a “bad” person as most people tended to paint those like her. In a gesture that he for some reason thought might help her calm down and not feel so embarrassed, he leaned forward and brushed his lips against her cheek. What he hadn’t been expecting, however, was for her to apparate them out of the pub before he even got a chance to get some food.

In what felt like the blink of an eye, the brunette found himself standing in a hallway that looked like it belonged in some sort of nice, expensive house. Was this her place? This definitely wasn’t what he was expecting to happen. ”I...I didn’t think kissing you on the cheek would lead us here.” he clammed up as his face was now the one turning a couple of shades of red. ”This is all so fast.” his voice went up an octave as he looked around the place. Unfortunately the man tended to ramble when he was nervous. ”Uh, i’m not the right person for this sort of thing? I’ve not been in this game for some time…” he trailed off, nervously scratching the back of his head.

It was almost as if her mind had completely shut down as she stood there staring at the man. How in the hell did she even manage that when he’d barely even brushed her cheek? It grew very apparent that he was questioning the situation as well but, since she hadn’t spoke up, he seemed to be taking it all wrong. ”I...I didn’t think kissing you on the cheek would lead us here.” Benji spoke nervously as he began to look around the place. Gina was still stuck in the same spot completely frozen and unable to even think about moving. A string of curses managed to float their way through her mind instead.

”This is all so fast.” As he said this she watched his face turn several shades darker and her own began to reflect the very same horror. ”Uh, i’m not the right person for this sort of thing? I’ve not been in this game for some time…” It was with that final comment that her mind seemed to snap out of whatever limbo it had been in and she choked on air as she tried to gather herself. Her eyes surveyed him for a moment before she turned sharply on her heel not even bothering to see if he followed along behind her.

”Dear Neptune this is not what I’d planned.” She said throwing up her hands and tossing her purse onto the couch as she approach the loft that lingered just slightly over the sidewalk with an open view of the streets so far below them. ”I thought, hey I’ll just return his necklace and then come back here to enjoy a nice bottle of chateau, but then you were all nice and stuff.” The frenchwoman ranted as she turned around to face him and plopped down on the edge of the fine ivory-colored sofa.

The bottle she’d mentioned sat expectantly on the edge of the coffee table before her and she leaned forward to pop it open. ”I suppose we might as well enjoy it.” Gina muttered to herself before leaning back and taking a very unladylike swig and holding it out for him. Her eyes lingered on his face before she found herself turning a deep shade of scarlet. ”It’s nice to know I’m not the only one without a sex life.” The frenchwoman set the bottle down carefully and crossed her arms over her chest.

This Benjamin fellow seemed nice and all but she certainly hadn't wanted to give him the wrong impression. She was trying to ditch him after all before he managed to get close enough to her which only blew up in her face. Aubergine didn’t exactly do nice and she certainly didn’t know how to handle it when others decided to act that way towards her. The woman grew up in luxury and surrounded by people who were nothing but terrible snots, those who would easily stab the other in the back if it meant getting what they wanted. He was a different breed entirely if talk of his box was anything to go by the last time they spoke.

”I’m not that kind of girl anyway. If you’re going to find your way into my bed then you better damn well work for it, darling.” She commented with a low voice before looking away. Her eyes had certainly lingered on him for far too long and any thought of an easy way out of this whole situation was now off the table.

Not only did the twenty-six year old feel self conscious about the fact that a really attractive lady had just brought him back to her place out of nowhere, he was also embarrassed by the fact that his nerves had gotten the best of him and caused him to ramble on about a part of his personal life that she probably didn’t really want to hear about. He was starting to think his interaction with her a few nights ago was the better scenario of the two situations and that was saying something. It was almost as if he had reverted into his teenage self and just wanted to run away from the place before he could manage to make things any more awkward.

”Dear Neptune this is not what I’d planned.” he heard her murmur as she started walking down the hallway. For a moment Benji began to worry that he was only distressing the woman rather than trying to help. He had only been trying to be nice to her and help her feel less awkward yet it had led to all of this and done the complete opposite of what he had wanted to. He quickly trailed behind her until he entered the next room just in time to see her toss her purse on the couch next to her. Unsure of what to say, he muttered out a low “sorry.”

With each passing second he began to feel more and more like he had worn out his welcome and as if he didn’t belong in such a perfect looking house. Surely there was no way she had afforded something so nice purely by stealing stuff. He may not really know her, but he could tell there was definitely more to her than she was saying, but he wasn’t about to prod her about it. ”I thought, hey I’ll just return his necklace and then come back here to enjoy a nice bottle of chateau, but then you were all nice and stuff.”

It was that statement that had caused his head to go into hyperdrive and his mouth to start rambling on like there was no tomorrow after her she made a comment about how they might as well enjoy it. ”That might not be a good idea with the two of us being alone in a kind of secluded place. Alcohol has this funny way of messing with my judgment and I’d rather you not do something you might regret... ” he stated as he took a seat next her and swallowed down a gulp. This wasn’t the sort of situation he thought he’d find himself in tonight.

And then it happened. Before he could really comprehend what he was saying, the lack of his romantic/sex life was brought forward. Yep, this is a thousand times worse than a nightclub full of people hearing I feel like a woman playing from my booth. he thought as he felt himself slowly dying on the inside. This exact thing was part of the reason he hadn’t tried to date anyone in while; he just couldn’t seem to act normally. ”It’s nice to know I’m not the only one without a sex life.” while her words were probably meant to help him feel less embarrassed, they certainly didn’t.

”That’s not...I’ve...I didn’t mean...ahhh!” he tried to explain only to find himself completely flustered. He couldn't have been making a good impression on her. ”I’m not that kind of girl anyway. If you’re going to find your way into my bed then you better damn well work for it, darling.” her words caused him to pause a moment, but all he did was take in a sharp breath of air before trying to say anything else. ”You know what Gigi, I change my mind. I think i’ll take some alcohol after all. Maybe it’ll help cleanse our mind of the disaster that is Benjamin Rayner.” he breathed out feeling defeated.

The only thing the frenchwoman could do to stifle her laugh was cover her lips as she sputtered out. The last thing she expected Benji to mention was the effects of alcohol and how that might not have been a good idea. She’d been drunk plenty of times to know that anyone who tried to use it as an excuse for losing their inhibitions completely and giving in to that kind of thing were probably not wanting to admit they’d even made that decision. She, on the other hand, knew very well how to control herself when she drank.

Gina had to admit though, the moment he started sputtering out and couldn’t figure out what to say the man looked absolutely adorable for some odd reason. ”You know what Gigi, I change my mind. I think i’ll take some alcohol after all. Maybe it’ll help cleanse our mind of the disaster that is Benjamin Rayner.” The moment he spoke up and asked for something a bit harder, the cutpurse pointed her wand to the table and did just as he wished; a bottle of aged bourbon appeared in front of the two and she offered a devilish smirk.

Before he could even flinch to reach out towards the bottle she made sure to place her hand on his chest and paused for a moment as she stared into his eyes. Leaning forward until she was invading his personal space, Gina purposely cast her gaze down towards his lips before slowly trailing her eyes back up. With a practiced sweep, her hand brushed against his cheek and she moved in even closer until she was a mere inch away. ”Brownie points for being cute,” the woman finally said before pulling away.

Before she even managed to slip away and grab onto the bottle as planned, a squeak came from the brunette causing her eyes to widen as he fell back onto the couch. Pouting, the petite woman crawled over until she was sat directly on his chest and bent down so that she could look him in the face. ”Do I need to actually kiss you so we can get over this awkward stage because if that’s what it takes then I’ll totally do it.” Her voice became serious as she looked him over but there was something about how innocent he looked that drew her in.

There were very few times that Gina had actually found herself intrigued by someone and even fewer relationships riddled her past. For being her age, she certainly didn’t have a whole lot of experience with dating or the sort. This kind of thing just didn’t come naturally to her yet when she looked down at him she couldn’t help as a small smile broke out across her lips. ”You’re certainly one of a kind, Mr. Rayner.” The frenchwoman offered before she found herself inching closer once more.

This time, however, she closed the gap between them and pressed her lips gently against his. She’d been completely caught off guard in the moment despite the fact that they seemed to come from two entirely different worlds. Her eyes fluttered shut and just as she pulled away, they slowly opened. The pale complexion across her face was now coated in several shades of pink and red. Aubergine’s intention was to offer a drinking game of sorts but how she even went from wanting to ditch him to snogging him on her couch was entirely beyond her.

I wonder if it’s possible to permanently transfigure myself into someone else. Benji thought to himself as he tried to decide what he’d even want to look like. Too bad he wasn’t born a metamorphmagus since it would make hiding a hell of a lot easier. All the internal worrying that he had been doing was abruptly brought to a stop the second he felt her hand touch his chest and saw her begin to lean in. What even was this night and was he dreaming because surely he had to be. This was definitely the strangest interaction with a woman he had ever had and he was also pretty sure nobody had ever managed to cause his heart to pick up speed as quickly as she seemed to be.

When the woman moved away at the last moment instead of kissing him, it was almost as if he became overwhelmed by it all and the only thing he could manage to get out was a high pitched squeaking noise as he fell backwards over the rest of the couch that wasn’t currently taken. What the brunette really needed at the moment was some alcohol to forget the multiple times he had embarrassed himself so far tonight and some air to cool down and collect his thoughts. One of those things were easy enough to get since the red-head seemed to be willing to share, but she didn’t seem to be on board with letting him collect himself as she made her way onto his chest.

”Do I need to actually kiss you so we can get over this awkward stage because if that’s what it takes then I’ll totally do it.” his eyes widened at her question and he was pretty sure he was starting to feel dizzy from all the different emotions he was feeling. ”I--” he started to say, but was swiftly cut off when he heard her mention that he seemed to be one of a kind before he felt soft lips pressing to his. It took his mind a second to comprehend what was happening, but the moment it finally caught up, he began to mimic her movements until she eventually pulled away.

Dazed was only one of the many words that could be used to describe his current state. Content would be the next best one. For being someone that he had met under questionable circumstances, Gina sure did have a way of making him feel both reckless and brave without doing much and he wasn’t sure if that was a dangerous thing or not, but he was about to test the water and find out. Moving his gaze up to lock onto her’s, he took note of the blush that adorned her cheeks. ”Red looks good on you.” he spoke softly before placing his hand on the side of her neck and leaning up just far enough to kiss her once more.

This time he decided to play it safe and take things slowly so he hopefully wouldn’t scare her off. Needing to ease into things himself since he was a little rusty, he showered her in soft, delicate kisses as he took his free hand and carefully grazed his fingertips up her arm until they came to a rest on the other side of her neck. It was sweet and innocent until the boldness she brought out moments ago struck once more as he found his tongue sliding across her bottom lip as he fell deeper into the kiss.

”Red looks good on you.”

Her gaze met his the moment that the words were spoken but it was almost as if her mind had gone completely blank. An electric surge went shooting down her spine the moment his hand came into contact with her skin, and in the next moment she was lost in some kind of haze as he drew her back in for another kiss. The last thing the Frenchwoman had expected was falling victim to this kind of intimacy. Light kisses that started off slow and sensual turned deeper until his free hand grazed against the bare skin of her arm as he managed to place both hands upon her neck.

The entire thing seemed far too surreal to be happening to her of all people but then the man took it one step further and the tiny witch let out an involuntary gasp as he managed to slide his tongue across her lip. Within moments she’d allowed him the access that he’d silently asked for, reciprocating his movements just as tenderly. It was the first time in quite a while that it felt like the woman’s mind had just shut down entirely and rather than being driven by thought, her body was acting on instinct.

None of that seemed to matter though because in a mere split second the whole thing was entirely ruined. Just as she was sure that she’d lost herself in the moment, there came a fuzzy feeling upon her leg and a trill of disappointment from a very groggy little creature. Drogo. Groaning and pulling away from the man, she leaned up and turned around to spy the little shit sitting at their feet and gaping.

”Vous avez décidé de vous réveiller? Je ne peux pas te croire!” The woman shot out without even thinking about the fact that she was speaking in her native tongue rather than the language that the man could actually understand. The little niffler only seemed to stare before it scurried off towards the handbag and began to rattle around until it found a gold coin. Within the next moment, it was sat there trying to smash the valuable into the side of the couch to, in it’s mind, see if this was actually a real piece.

Turning her attention back to the wizard, a blush spread across her cheeks and she swiftly moved off of him grabbing the bottle of whiskey in the process. ”That should keep him occupied for a bit. Still hungry?” She asked trying to avoid the subject of what they’d just shared. Taking a sharp breath, the petite witch swooped up the little creature and tossed him back into the knapsack, gold coin and all. Locking the clasp, the redhead ensured that the little miscreant wouldn’t be making another appearance for the night.

English Translation: You decided to wake up? I can not believe you.
