Expectations were high for Cassie when she was growing up in a mansion on a Scottish cliff-side. Her parents wanted to make sure their only daughter, and heiress of a vast fortune, was perfect. And yet, that was the one thing she didn't want to be. Her mother, Jocasta Sullivan, and father, Sebastien Sullivan, were always viewed as perfect, so it was no surprise to anyone that perfection was expected of Cassie. But no one in the Sullivan line had ever been perfect. In actuality, her parents were self-possessed, narcissistic, bigoted, and overall horrible parents.
She hated her parents for their tendencies, and often rebelled against societal expectations. She would climb trees in a ball gown, throw mud at her nanny, and she didn't care. The blonde hated the world of balls and fake smiles, so when her Hogwarts letter came, it was the first time Cassie was glad to have lived up to expectations. Because the sheet of paper meant escape. It meant freedom.
While most pre-teens would have loved to have lived like a virtual princess, Cassie hated it. She had always preferred the stony halls of Hogwarts, ever since she had first step foot in the Great Hall. The young witch fit right in at Hogwarts, especially in her house. When the hat first called out "Ravenclaw," the heiress had been surprised and a little indignant. Coming from a very magical household, she didn't consider herself to be a Ravenclaw at all at first. She was definitely not a bookworm or a teacher's pet. But a few days into her first school year, Cass learned that the house qualities went deeper than she thought.
When the witch first discovered painting, it was like love at first sight. She saw the abandoned brushes and bright watercolours sitting on a table, and gingerly picked the former up. The brush wasn't hers, but it felt like an extension of her arm. The slender handle fit perfectly into the curves and contours of her hand, and when Cassie dipped the bristles of the brush into a deep turquoise paint, it was loke she had been born to be an artist. And she could have. Her life almost took that direction, and she was a trust fund baby so the money that most artists made wasn't an issue. But while her artwork developed into perfection, the blonde realised that following her brush instead of her head would lead her away from the place she loved most: Hogwarts.
That realisation didn't come until after Cass had finished her schooling, during which she was a proud teammate on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and a house prefect. After she finished her seventh year at the school, Cassie went abroad for a year in France to paint the sights. She visited the beaches of Normandy, the wine fields of Champagne, and the high end stores of Paris. Bur after taht year, the witch felt unfulfilled. She found a yearning for the moors and oceans of home, and so back to England she went. Another year went by, and still the witch felt unhappy. She had no idea why, her life was near perfect. She should have been happy, but the witch had always wanted more.
And then came the day life took a turn for the better. Cassie was offered a job at Hogwarts, and she jumped on the opportunity. It took two days for her to dump her boyfriend and leave everything behind and go back to Hogwarts. And finally, the blonde felt happy. In 2017, she's now the newly minted Charms Professor, and her life is finally going in the direction she wants. She loves teaching in her own style, which while slightly unusual, is still fairly effective. She's that teacher who tries to make lessons fun, which usually means you can get away with more than you would in another class, but she's still a force to be reckoned with. So watch out Hogwarts, because your favourite girl is back and ready for more.
♰ friends Cassie is an overall friendly person, so quite a few people would fit into this category. She's a loyal friend who loves to chat, and doesn't discriminate against certain people, no matter race, religion, ethnicity, etc. There's not much more to be said other than that, and I'm open to basically any friend plot.
♰ lovers First of all, Cassie is bisexual, but she tends to lean more towards women. After all, her sexual and romantic experiences with men never really worked out. Keep in mind that she loves almost wholeheartedly, and wants commitment. She's a really flirty person, but at this point in her life she wants stability, so if you want any romantic interaction be prepared for that. I'm open to plotting in this regard, especially with requited flirtation and exes.
♰ enemies These are, to be frank, few and far between. Cassie is a fairly loveable person, though her prankster nature and recklessness can annoy some. I'm less open to plots here, but if you think you have a good one just throw it at me.
